"The Nine Treasure Exercises of Ancient
China" is a complete exercise system
used for thousands of years by the Chinese in
their
kung-fu schools and Taoist monasteries.
In modern times, this Qi Gong system can
be
used to lower blood pressure and solve the
health problems associated with
repetitive
stress syndrome (RTS) and old age symptoms
such as stiff joints and arthritis.
And it
is a useful warm-up method for use before kung-fu practice.
This system exercises
every
joint and muscle in the body without causing an increase in heart rate or
perspiration. So, it is ideal for office workers, the elderly, those recovering
from
surgery and
people who need a good warm up before practicing more energetic
exercises.
The entire exercise set can be completed in just a few minutes or practiced as
long as
desired without tiring yourself.
Included with the exercise system are the "Nine Cutting Fingers of Ninjutsu"
which are
the secret finger-weaving methods passed down from Aryan India through China to
the
Japanese. These are excellent exercises for stretching the tendons of the hands
and
fingers before using a keyboard, playing the piano or stringed instrument, or
before
doing any kind of work that involves precise hand pliability and dexterity such
as
sewing or circuit board soldering or surgery. These methods are recommended for
physicians
before surgery to sensitive their nerves and warm up their hands.
Or they can be used for delving into the
meditation
and qi gong mysteries of the mudras
or for use in self-defense using small
circle
jiu-jitsu techniques.
