Watch for the Grand Opening announcement coming soon in this Newsletter. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Harjit's History: Singh's Song is Sung On Thursday, February 3, Canada finally saw the last – we hope -- of master conman and liar Harjit Singh, who was deported to India after wrecking the cabinet career of former Immigration Minister Judy Sgro. Singh is the poster boy for everything that’s wrong with Canada’s immigration system. He and his wife arrived in Canada in 1988 on a visitor’s visa. They overstayed the visa and claimed “refugee” status. Here Canada’s troubles began. If we had a “Canada First” immigration policy that put Canada’s needs first, this would have been the end of it. Overstay your visa and you get deported. But, no, in 1985 socialist ideologue Supreme Court Justice Bertha Wilson penned the Singh Decision -– that was another Singh. It took the novel approach of extending Charter rights to the whole world. Thus, should an illegal say the magic words, “I’m a refugee”, he would immediately be entitled to an oral hearing and appeal and such rights of Canadians as welfare, legal aid, medicare (and dental care) and public housing. The word that Canada was an easy touch shot out to conmen and opportunists around the globe. From a few hundred refugee claims in 1984, Canada was soon inundated with claimants from around the globe. Because no claim was too frivolous for a hearing, we got hordes of people who were suddenly “refugees” from democratic countries. Homosexuals unhappy with their treatment in macho lands, women who claimed they were victims of family violence, people who claimed persecution for religious beliefs it turned out they never held, like Chinese “Christians” who didn’t know Christ was the founder of their religion. Governments Tory and Liberal failed to retake control of immigration from the court revolutionaries. They sprang away in horror from suggestions that they use the “notwithstanding” clause to reverse the lunatic Singh Decision. We have advocated for years that all immigrants and “refugee” claimants must apply and be vetted abroad -– no flying in and announcing “I’m a refugee.” We suspect that, at quiet moments, Judy Sgro must wish that a Canada First policy had been in place in 1988. Harjit Singh and missus would have been deported as soon as they overstayed their visa. Had this happened there would have been no Harjit Singh to accuse Mrs. Sgro of failing to honour an alleged agreement to grant him citizenship in exchange for some pieces of pizza and garlic bread for her campaign workers. Had Harjit been history in 1988, Judy Sgro’s amply upholstered backside might still be enjoying a minister’s chauffered luxury automobile. Judy Sgro might be a loser in this case, but Canadians have had to pay a fortune for the scamming Singh family. Among his contributions to Canada: Even in his final hearing, Singh required a Punjabi translator, despite having been in Canada since 1988. (Globe and Mail, Feb. 2, 2005) In denying Singh's last ditch appeals to stay in Canada Mr. Justice Michael Phelan declared, with almost comical understatement that Singh's arguments "lacked the ring of truth. The integrity of the immigration system is sufficiently challenged already by the numerous delays in Singh's removal. The past delays reflect adversely on the system." (National Post, Feb. 2, 2005) Despite claiming that he feared torture should he be deported to democratic India, Singh had returned to India"at least 20 times between 1990 and 1999 using a fake passport." (National Post, January 20, 2005) "Singh was arrested on Boxing Day after failing to report for a Dec. 6 meeting with immigration officials. He insisted he did show up. .. He was later caught in a lie after surveoillance video showed he was clearly not at the Mississauga facility that day." (National Post Feb. 2, 2005) "Harjit Singh ... recently threatened to kill a Peel Regional Police officer, .... Detective-Sergeant Braydon Baron, ... the lead investigsator in a million-dollar credit card scam against Canada's five major banks in which Mr. Singh and his three children were found civilly liable last year." (Globe and Mail, Jan. 26, 2005) Harjit Singh is gone but the rotten, corrupt system that let him in and permitted him to scam Canadians for nearly two decades is still in place. --Paul Fromm, CANADA FIRST IMMIGRATION REFORM COMMITTEE ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ukraine: Yushchenko Gives Posts to Jews [politicalsoldier.net says: While those handful who backed Yushchenko now finally wake up the man and his agenda. How on earth can a minister hold dual citizenship - and therefore dual loyalty - to another State that may conflict with the Ukraine's national good?]: Jews put in charge of media and defense. Jewess named prime minister. The new President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, has appointed multi-millionaire "dual citizen" Yevgeny Chervonenko communications minister. The 45-year-old holds an Israeli passport and is vice president of the All-Ukraine Jewish Congress. As communications minister he will exercise complete control over the development of Ukraine's media. His department will issue all operational and frequency licenses for radio, television, Internet and satellite communications. After privatization, Chervonenko gained control of a variety of businesses, including two large bottling plants, supermarket chains and a pharmaceutical firm. In 2004, in an interview with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, he complained of "anti-Semites" in the opposition coalition, noting that he accosted one of them, Vassily Chervoni, in a washroom in the Parliament building. Chervonenko said, "I put his head in the sink and told him, 'One more bad word about Israel and I'll really mess you up.' " (Chervonenko was head of candidate Yushchenko's security detail, and bragged to the AP that he personally tasted all of Yushchenko's food when asked about the alleged poisoning. He blamed the poisoning on the "anti-Semitic" opposition who fed his man during a private government meeting to which he did not have access.) Media mogul Pyotr Poroshenko, also a Jew, has been appointed secretary of National Security and Defense, despite having no experience whatsoever. Not even Ukraine's heavily Jewish Communist Party can believe it. After hearing of Poroshenko's appointment, they issued this statement: "When national security and the activities of law-enforcement are entrusted to a businessman whose actions have often contradicted the law, and who has been caught falsifying State budgets, one can hardly believe in pre-election promises that all the criminals would be jailed." Oligarch Poroshenko owns Channel 5, the television channel that during the "Orange Revolution" turned from a relatively objective news source into a fountain of opposition propaganda. Billionaire Jewess Julia Timoshenko, 44, has been appointed prime minister, the nation's second most powerful position, despite an international arrest warrant. Timoshenko is under criminal indictment in Russia for fraud and bribing government officials. In 1996-97 Timoshenko sucked billions from the Ukrainian economy through the re-sale of gas under the protection of her robber-baron patron, former prime minister Pavel Lazarenko. (Pavel Lazarenko is serving a prison sentence in California after being convicted of extortion, money laundering, conspiracy, fraud and the transportation of stolen property. Lazarenko was also convicted of money laundering in Switzerland and is wanted for murder in Ukraine. His American criminal defense lawyer is well-known television legal commentator Daniel Horowitz. During his San Francisco trial, Horowitz introduced secret recordings of former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma that include anti-Semitic cursing and rants against Lazarenko. The idea was to convince the jury that Lazarenko was the victim of an anti-Semitic political vendetta by Kuchma. It didn't work.) The new prime minister's native language is Russian, not Ukrainian. Timoshenko admits she only learned the Ukrainian language in 1999. She has absolutely refused to provide a biography, and even her maiden name is a mystery.
